The price per kilo of white tilapia fish has decreased to almost half the price it was before historic floods hit Thailand last year. The country's exports unexpectedly fell in April from a year earlier as industry continued to feel the impact of the flooding but the Commerce Ministry expects a significant improvement in the second half of the year.
